What inspired you to start PKCS LLC and how has your own journey influenced the way you work with business owners?

My inspiration to start PKCS LLC came from a passion for helping others find their path to success. Through my years working as a school psychologist in various states and countries, I encountered many people who were unfulfilled in their jobs and desired to start their own businesses.

I used my background in psychology, along with my training in industrial and organizational psychology, to develop a customizable approach that helps micro and small business owners achieve their goals. This led to the creation of our OPLE System and SoAR! With Coaching program, both of which are designed to meet the unique needs of each client.

Can you share a pivotal moment in your career that shaped your approach to business coaching and consulting?

A pivotal moment in my career came when I fully grasped the power of mindset in overcoming business challenges. This insight transformed my own career and revolutionized my approach to coaching and consulting. It underscored the importance of resilience and adaptability in the business world.

Mindset became the foundation for many of the strategies I now teach to entrepreneurs, helping them navigate obstacles with confidence and creativity. This approach also led to the development of our OPLE System, which has helped numerous business owners achieve their goals.

What advice would you give to someone just starting their entrepreneurial journey, particularly in balancing business growth with personal well-being?

My advice to new entrepreneurs is to prioritize self-care alongside business growth. It’s easy to become consumed by the demands of building a business, but that often leads to burnout, diminished productivity, and strained personal relationships. Achieving balance between work and personal life is crucial for sustainable success and overall well-being.

It’s important to remember that everyone’s balance looks different. You need to figure out what balance looks like for you, based on your personal and professional priorities. By nurturing yourself—whether through exercise, hobbies, or spending time with loved ones—you can maintain the energy and mental clarity needed to drive your business forward with passion and determination.


What specific initiatives or programs does your business offer to help individuals maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle?

One of our most popular offerings is the SoAR! Masterclass, particularly the “Productivity Powerhouse” session. This 90-minute online workshop helps micro and small business owners sharpen their focus and drive their business forward with sustainable momentum. It teaches participants how to differentiate between essential and non-essential tasks. By the end of the workshop, business owners acquire skills that not only boost their business but also help them achieve a healthier balance between their personal and professional lives.

In addition, we offer SoAR! Consultations and SoAR! With Coaching services. These programs are customized to meet the unique needs of each business owner. The SoAR! Consultation helps entrepreneurs apply what they learned in the Productivity Powerhouse session to their specific situations, guiding them in taking the necessary actions to achieve the balance they desire.

For those seeking long-term support, our SoAR! With Coaching program helps business owners develop and implement a 6-, 12-, or 18-month action plan. This program has proven particularly effective in helping business owners achieve and maintain a balance between their business goals and lifestyle.

How has your business positively impacted your community by promoting balance and well-being in people’s lives?

The majority of the business owners I work with are also the founders of their companies. When working with micro and small business owners, I help them understand the importance of recognizing their strengths. Through structured discussions, they learn to identify the tasks in their businesses that align with their strengths, as well as those that consume their time without playing to those strengths.

By utilizing the OPLE [pronounced oh-PUL] System, these business owners learn valuable skills in time management and delegation. They also gain insight into how much time they are actually dedicating to business-related activities versus personal activities. Many of the owners I work with started their businesses for reasons such as gaining financial freedom, spending more time with family, or pursuing what brings them joy. Our discussions and analysis often reveal that their lives are not as balanced as they initially believed.

To address this, we integrate well-being activities into their action plans, which ultimately leads to improved productivity and efficiency.

What are your business’s future goals related to promoting balance, wellness, and overall life satisfaction?

We are launching an online course through our SoAR! With Training Institute called “Get Sh*t Done!” This course focuses on time management and is designed to be accessible for busy business owners, available both on computers and via an app. It helps micro and small business owners, as well as freelancers, connect their goals with time management, prioritize non-negotiables, and learn how to say “no” and delegate tasks effectively.

We are also developing an interactive 8-week group program for business owners who prefer live, group-learning experiences. In addition, we’re working on retreats tailored for business owners who need a relaxing getaway while also learning strategies to improve their business operations. These retreats were developed based on market research and feedback from business owners who prefer in-person experiences over online workshops.

How does your business contribute to the message and mission of G1 Magazine in promoting holistic well-being?

At PKCS, our OPLE System helps business owners understand how their organizational development, personal skills, leadership, and education combine to create a successful and sustainable business. This system is embedded in all of our services, along with my philosophy that “Solutions + Actions = Results! (SoAR!)®.”

By working with business owners globally, I’ve seen how they’ve achieved holistic well-being while simultaneously growing their businesses. We guide our clients in applying the right solutions and actions, enabling them to achieve the results they want for both their businesses and their personal lives.

In what ways does your business’s philosophy align with G1’s mission: “G1 – (life) where you matter the most”? How do you ensure that your clients feel valued and supported?

Authenticity is central to how we ensure that our clients feel valued and supported. Our four core values guide our work, and our client testimonials and reviews on social media and our website speak to how well our approach resonates with those we serve.

I schedule client sessions without any overlap or distractions, ensuring that I’m fully present and attentive during their time. I also follow through on commitments to provide additional information or solutions when needed, which alleviates any stress or confusion clients may have. My goal is always to help clients achieve the results they desire through practical, non-cookie-cutter solutions.

What impact do you hope to have on the broader business community through your work?

I hope to inspire innovation and drive sustainable growth within the broader business community. Micro and small businesses need strong foundational components that foster continuous innovation and growth. By fostering collaboration, embracing technological advancements, and encouraging open communication, I aim to help businesses adapt to ever-changing markets, which is crucial for both startups and established businesses.

Through my work, I strive to create a resilient and inclusive economic environment that not only benefits businesses but also positively impacts society as a whole. I hope to contribute to the achievement of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals 8 and 9, which promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth and innovation.

What are some key qualities or habits you believe every successful entrepreneur should cultivate?

Successful entrepreneurs should cultivate resilience, adaptability, determination, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning. Resilience helps you bounce back from setbacks, while adaptability allows you to pivot in response to changing circumstances. Determination drives persistence, and curiosity fuels exploration of new ideas.
